Oh lets go back to the start
Life has a way of kicking you when you're down. For example, your grandmother dies, and so you have to swallow hard to go back home and when you do you find yourself falling in love with it again, but being wrenched away from your remaining family, then back at at school you fail two classes, all of your friends (except you) get asked to prom, the guy you like ignores you, and when you call your friend from out of school for comfort she puts her incredibly attractive guy friend on the phone and reminds him of who you are by saying 'remember, shes the one you think is unnattractive?!'
Of course those are just examples pulled out at random...but you have to wonder how someone being so relentlessly punched in the stomach like that feels.
...probably all alone, very emotional, and that nothing is worth anything.

kate, i'm really sorry. but if i may, i'm going to tell you what you told me long ago: it's the wheel. sometimes you're up, sometimes you're down, but the one thing we know is that you'll always be up again. (you can tell how much it meant to me, because i'm using it like all the time) i am always here to listen, whenever. i love you and really don't want to see you feeling down. xoxo
